Smart ideas for summer garden success - sustainable practices for a water-wise and productive garden over the hot months.

Join local gardening educator Alan Sheperd to discover simple tips to prepare your garden before the summer heat starts to bite!

Now is the best time to start preparing and thinking ahead for the upcoming summer. Last year many of us experienced losses in the garden due to the lack of rain and want to be best prepared for this coming summer.

Understand what you can do to give the garden the best possible chance to not just survive, but thrive, from simple tips like understanding how to create shade and microclimates, efficient watering methods, to the power of mulch.

About our presenter:

Alan is a wealth of knowledge having worked in running community gardens and education workshops for many years. These sessions are always very popular, and a great way to refresh your knowledge, learn a couple of new tips and meet other people who love gardening as much as you do!

This session is kindly hosted by the Mount Barker Community Library and seeded by Green Adelaide.
