A Workshop From The Nature Education Project

Join us for the Angas Finniss Waterbug Bioblitz! We would love your help in monitoring the health of the catchments. Family friendly event.

Join us for the10th year of Angas Finniss Waterbug Bioblitzes!

In this hands on event we'll get out and about in the field collecting and sorting macroinvertebrates (waterbug) samples and taking water quality measurements from sites across the Angas and Finniss catchments (Macclesfield, Strathalbyn, Meadows, Prospect Hill and Paris Creek).

This is a great chance to learn from scientists, ecologists, volunteers and landholders in the region who are dedicated to protecting our precious creeklines.

Time: 8:45am - 4:00pm. Stay for the full day, or part day. If coming for half a day, please get in touch with us to organise.

Cost: Free with lunch provided, please advise of any dietary requirements when registering.

Location: Strathalbyn Natural Resource Centre, 6 Catherine Street, Strathalbyn. We will meet at the centre then head out into the field in teams.

What to bring: Please wear closed in shoes, wear appropriate clothes for the weather and be SunSmart. BYO water bottle and coffee keep cup; we will have refills available.
