A Workshop From The Nature Education Project
See the beauty of Strathalbyn through a new lens - your smartphone! Join us this spring for a relaxed morning of nature, photography and connection
Whether you’re wanting to take better photos on your phone or simply love spending time outdoors, this event is a fun and relaxed way to explore, learn, and connect with your local environment.
Guided by an experienced photographer and nature enthusiast, you’ll take a gentle walk through the local park, discovering native plants, birds, and wildlife. Along the way, you’ll:
Learn tips and techniques for taking great photos using your smartphone
Explore simple apps to edit and enhance your images, so your snapshots really shine
Slow down, observing nature closely and noticing details you might usually miss
The walk is designed to be accessible to all abilities, and there’s no need for fancy equipment - just your phone and a sense of curiosity!
After the walk, we’ll gather for a cuppa and a chat, giving you the chance to connect with fellow nature lovers in the community.
Come along, connect and take some great photos!
This workshop is a collaboration between Alexandrina Council and Second Nature Conservancy. The Wellness in Nature project is supported by Office for Ageing Well, through the 2024-2025 Age Friendly SA grants program, and also supported by Green Adelaide.
