A Workshop From The Nature Education Project

Join us for the Bremer Waterbug Bioblitz! We would love your help in monitoring the health of the catchment. Family friendly event.

Join us for our 4th year of the Bremer Waterbug Bioblitzes!

In this hands on event we'll get out and about in the field collecting and sorting macroinvertebrates (waterbug) samples and taking water quality measurements from sites across the Bremer catchment.

This is a great chance to learn from scientists, ecologists, volunteers and landholders in the region who are dedicated to protecting our precious creeklines.

Time: 8:45am - 4:00pm. Stay for the full day, or part day. If you are coming for half a day, please get in touch with us to organise.

Cost: Free with lunch provided, please advise of any dietary requirements when registering.

Location: Wistow Community Hall, Wellington Road, Wistow. We will meet at the community hall then head out into the field in teams.

What to bring: Please wear closed in shoes, wear appropriate clothes for the weather and be SunSmart. BYO water bottle and coffee keep cup; we will have refills available.

This Waterbug Bioblitz event is delivered by Second Nature Conservancy, with support from Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu and the Department for Environment and Water’s Flows for the Future program.
