Nature & Gardens Connect Us - with Sophie Thomson

  • Strathalbyn Town Hall High Street Strathalbyn, SA, 5255 Australia (map)

A Workshop From The Nature Education Project

Join celebrated local gardener Sophie Thomson for a morning of connection with nature and community!

Join gardening author, broadcaster, and ABC TV’s Gardening Australia presenter Sophie Thomson for an inspiring community talk about the power of nature and gardens to connect us. Sophie will share her passion for gardening as a way to build stronger communities, improve our wellbeing, and care for the environment.

From growing food and flowers to sharing knowledge, skills, and experiences, gardens are more than just green spaces - they’re places where people come together. With her trademark warmth, humour, and practical wisdom, Sophie will explore how gardens can nurture connection to nature, each other, and ourselves.

This uplifting session is perfect for anyone who loves gardening or simply wants to discover how spending time in the garden can bring joy, resilience, and community spirit.

This workshop is a collaboration between Alexandrina Council and Second Nature Conservancy. The Wellness in Nature project is supported by Office for Ageing Well, through the 2024-2025 Age Friendly SA grants program, and is also supported by Green Adelaide.
