A Workshop From Nature Education Project

Buzz into the world of native bees at this fun, hands-on workshop for curious kids and nature-loving families.

Come along to this fun and family-friendly workshop where you’ll learn all about the fascinating world of native bees — our gentle, solitary pollinators who play a vital role in local ecosystems.

Led by Hannah from Habitat Connection Co., together we’ll explore:

  • The different types of native bees found in our region

  • How they nest, what they eat, and how to spot them

  • Why they’re important for biodiversity and backyard gardens

Then, get creative and hands-on as you build your very own bee hotel. These will provide a safe nesting spot for cavity-nesting native bees - and you’ll get to take yours home to welcome some wild visitors into your garden!

This workshop is perfect for kids aged 5+ and their grown-ups. All materials provided. No experience needed - just a love of nature and a willingness to get stuck in!

This session is seeded by Green Adelaide and hosted by the Victor Harbor Library as part of Nature Festival.
