Nature Journaling for Kids

  • Victor Harbor Library 1 Bay Road Victor Harbor, SA, 5211 Australia (map)

A Workshop From The Nature Education Project

Hands-on native plants workshop for kids - explore leaves, use microscopes, and enjoy nature journaling while discovering local biodiversity.

In this interactive workshop, kids step into the role of budding botanists, discovering the fascinating world of native plants through engaging, guided activities. They’ll take a closer look at leaf shapes, textures and colours, and peer through microscopes to reveal hidden details like pollen grains and delicate leaf structures.

Through drawing and nature journaling, children nurture their curiosity and creativity while building a stronger connection to the environment. Slowing down to observe and record what they see encourages mindfulness and a deeper appreciation of the natural world around them.

Suitable for children aged 5 - 12 years. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Our activities are family-friendly, and we encourage parents and guardians to join in, help out, and share the fun. Book tickets for children only - no need to book for the adults!
