Supporting the supporters: Climate wellbeing workshop

  • Victor Harbor Library 1 Bay Road Victor Harbor, South Australia, 5211 Australia (map)

A Workshop From The Nature Education Project

Caring for the environment can be rewarding, but it can also be tough.

From the impacts of climate change and the algal bloom along our coast to the recent detection of bird flu, environmental challenges and disasters can take an emotional toll on those working and volunteering to protect our natural world.

That’s why we’re inviting you to Supporting the Supporters, a practical and supportive workshop delivered by the Australian Red Cross.

🌿 Together, we’ll explore how environmental challenges can affect our mental health and wellbeing, recognise when we or others might be struggling, and develop practical strategies to help us navigate difficult times.

🤝 It’s also a chance to pause, connect with others who understand the challenges of caring for our environment, and take some time to look after yourself.

If you work or volunteer in the environmental sector, this session is for you. Come along, take a breath, and remember: supporting the environment starts with supporting the people who care for it.

Delivered by the Australian Red Cross, this session is a collaboration between City of Victor Harbor and Second Nature, seeded by Green Adelaide.
