A Workshop From The Nature Education Project
Join local birding expert John Gitsham for a small-group guided bird walk exploring the diverse birdlife of Scott Conservation Park
What birds are calling Scott Conservation Park home?
Join local birding expert John Gitsham for a relaxed, small-group guided bird walk exploring this beautiful patch of Fleurieu bushland.
Scott Conservation Park is home to a diverse mix of woodland, mallee and heath habitat, providing food, shelter and nesting opportunities for a wonderful variety of birdlife. With John’s expert eye and local knowledge, we’ll explore the park, listening for calls, looking for movement in the trees and shrubs, and discovering which species are making the park their home.
Whether you’re an experienced birder or just starting to get interested in birds, this is a great opportunity to slow down, sharpen your observation skills and learn more about the birds and habitats around us.

Bring your binoculars if you have them, along with sturdy walking shoes, water and weather-appropriate clothing. The trail is undulating with creek crossings via stairs requiring reasonable mobility.
Come along, enjoy a morning in the bush and see how many birds we can spot!
This session is part of the Alexandrina Greening and Wildlife project, a collaboration between Alexandrina Council and SNC, and funded by Alexandrina Council and Green Adelaide.
