About the Presenter…

Alan Shepard is a passionate advocate for sustainable gardening, biodiversity, and community engagement.

With decades of experience creating community, school, and organic gardens, Alan brings a hands-on approach to gardening education. His own garden won a Sustainable Gardens Award in 2018, and he has led numerous revegetation projects using indigenous plants across Adelaide. Alan’s workshops are packed with practical advice, creative inspiration, and a deep love for connecting people to nature.
