The Backyards for Biodiversity workshop series is all about helping you create habitat at home. If you’ve ever wanted to make your garden more wildlife-friendly, support local species, or simply feel more connected to nature, these sessions are for you.
For just $25, over six engaging and informative sessions, held fortnightly, you’ll learn how to:
Create native gardens that attract and support wildlife and pollinators
Play a role in strengthening urban biodiversity corridors and climate resilience
Understand why local native plants and animals are so important in our ecosystems
Take simple, everyday actions that make a real difference in your own backyard
Here’s what you can expect in each session:
Session 1: Habitat Gardening at Home
Session 2: Native Gardens for Small Spaces
Session 3: Native Pollinators in Your Backyard
Session 4: Native Bees in Your Backyard
Session 5: Native Butterflies in Your Backyard
Session 6: Native Birds in Your Backyard
When you complete the series, you’ll also receive a pack of local native plants - perfect for kickstarting your very own biodiversity-friendly garden.
Can’t make it to every session? That’s okay! You’re welcome to come along to a single session for free.
