National Tree Day - Bronte

Join us for a day in nature on your door step.

Help us continue to revegetate Bronte Gully, provide habitat for native wildlife and join in fun nature based family activities. 

WHAT'S ON?

9am-10am // Yoga for young and old BOOK

Join Dandelion Yoga for a fun all ages yoga class under the trees -  rug up and bring your mat or towel. Bookings essential.

10am-11am // Guided nature walk BOOK

A guided family walk with ecologist and BirdLife Australia  educator  Renée Ferster Levy, which will unearth the hidden delights of Bronte Gully! Suitable for kids and adults. Bookings essential

10am- 1pm // Nature craft - just drop in

Get creative with natural found objects under the guidance of artist Amanda Farquharson from the Tree Veneration Society.

10.00am  // seedling planting - just drop in

Join us to plant a range of native shrubs, grasses and groundcovers, watering them in and install tree guards to help restore the Gully to its former glory. Assisted by Bronte Bushcare group. Finishes at 12pm or when plants run out.

11.30am-12-30 // Guided nature walk - BOOK

Branch out and listen to the stories of Iron and Bloss, two native gumtrees. A fun interactive performance for children about the importance of trees by the Eaton Gorge Theatre Company.

9am -1pm // Habitat and sustainable living info

* Information and advice from Council's Second Nature Team on how to create habitat in your garden and other sustainability tips

* Information and activities with Greater Sydney Landcare

10am-1pm // Music and nourishment

* Sausage sizzle and cakes by Bronte Public School.

* Live music to sway with the trees to from Portia Hackett.

You'll find us just up the Gully from the playground.
