What's Happening

  • Plastic Free July

Join a collective of passionate community change-makers to help turn the tide on plastic this Plastic Free July

Single-use plastics play havoc in our environment, clogging our coastline,  harming wildlife and threatening our health. ABC's War on Waste and #BantheBag campaign have shone a spotlight on the topic nationally. This July we're bringing you a local flavour of activities to get stuck into, to reduce single-use plastic in our 'hood. We are hoping to see plastic-free living become second nature...

Your Plastic Free July event partners: Blue Bondi Green, Happy Fish, Plastic Free Bronte, Responsible Runners, Seaside Scavenge, Tangaroa Blue, Take3, Transition Bondi, Underwater Research Group and Waverley Council. #plasticfreejuly #banthebag #secondnatureimin

6-8pm - Margaret Whitlam Recreation Centre, Waverley Park

Seaside Scavenge is teaming up with Waverley Council to host a Free DIY skincare talk and demo. Aside from clearing your plastic-filled cupboards and cutting back on what ends up in landfill, this is a fun way to save $$$, become self-sufficient and know exactly what’s going on your body. After all, skin is the biggest organ we have so if you can’t eat it, it shouldn’t be on your skin.
